The service

Remove AI Traces (removeaitraces.com) is operated by Remove AI Traces, — (“we”). It scans text and Word documents in your browser for technical traces — invisible characters, link tags, citation leftovers, Markdown, typography and document properties — and removes them. What it checks is described in the methodology.

The service removes technical traces. It does not rewrite text and does not promise any result from AI detectors, plagiarism checkers or any other third-party tool.

Free use

Scanning is free for any amount of text and any number of documents. Free removal covers invisible characters and Markdown up to 2,500 characters a day and invisible characters in documents, 1 per day. We may change free limits; changes apply from the next day.

Pro plans

• Day pass and Lifetime are one-time payments. The Day pass gives 24 hours of Pro from the moment of payment; a second Day pass starts when the first one ends. Lifetime gives Pro for as long as the service operates.
• After a Day pass, while it is active and for 48 hours after it ends, you can start Pro Monthly with a reduced first payment. The offer is available once per account; the subscription then renews at the regular Pro Monthly price until cancelled.
• Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly are subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel in your account; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Prices are shown before payment, including taxes where they apply in your country.

Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase. Refunds are described in our refund policy.

Your account

An account is created automatically when you buy Pro and is tied to the email used at checkout. Keep access to that email: sign-in works through one-time links. One purchase is for one person; please don’t share access.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the service to break the law, to violate other people’s rights, to remove provenance labels that the law requires you to keep, to attack or overload the service, or to resell it without our written consent. Whether and how you disclose the use of AI in your work is your responsibility under the rules that apply to you.

Your content

Your text and files stay yours. They are processed on your device; we don’t receive, store or use them.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and correct but provide it “as is”. We may change features; if a change takes away something essential from an active paid plan, you can ask for a refund of the unused part.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made by third parties about your text, including results of AI detectors. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.

Ending use

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend access in case of abuse, fraud or a breach of these terms.

Law and contact
