What it is for

People use AI to draft emails, posts, reports and coursework, then paste the result somewhere it matters. Copied answers carry technical leftovers: invisible characters, ChatGPT link tags, citation markers, chat formatting and typography that doesn’t match the language. Remove AI Traces shows each of them in your text and removes them, so what you paste is clean.

Rules we follow

• Only real findings. Every number comes from characters that are actually in your text. A clean text is reported as clean.
• No detector promises. We remove technical traces. We don’t rewrite text and don’t promise any AI-detector score.
• Your text stays with you. Checking and cleaning run in your browser. We never receive the text or the files.
• Scanning is free. Any amount of text can be checked without an account. Pro pays for removing everything, documents in full and no daily limit.

How it is built

The scanner and the document engine are written for this product and run as JavaScript on your device. Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record; sign-in works through one-time email links, with no passwords. The methodology lists every check, and the security page explains how data is protected.
